Our Top 6 Bold, Wild and Beautiful Bouquets

Happy Friday morning everyone! Spring is in the air and I’m absolutely desperate to see anything other than muddy streets and rainy skies. I thought it would be lovely to wake up to some jaw-droppingly gorgeous bouquets. These big and bold bouquets are those “hold the phone” ones that make you do a double-take as you scroll through your Pinterest boards. I adore wild flower bouquets, and these over-sized whimsical ones are a little over-the-top; just my kinda pretty.

Chic Parisian Wedding Inspiration

Spring in Ottawa seems to be taking a while to visit Ottawa this year, so I find myself craving shoots like this one from Melissa Johnston Photography and Blossom Events. As soon as I saw the lovely blush and cream coloured florals, sparkling linens and that classic Parisian fashion inspiration, I was overjoyed. I adore the attention to decor details in this shoot; the delicate chocolates made with love by chocolatier Cyril at Cylie Artisans Chocolatiers, the hot cocoa station, and the fur shawl were really elegant and interesting touches. And that cake. That cake!! Can you get over that cake?! Cat from The Cake Whisperer really outdid herself on this piece of art. I especially loved all the modern blush and grey striped stationery by the lovely ladies at Wishtree Invitations & Stationery too.

From the planner: This Parisian chic styled shoot was inspired by the idea of a boy and a girl who fall in love over chocolate.  We used chocolates from a local Ottawa chocolate shop as the dessert plate and also as wedding favours.  A hot cocoa station was created and just the thought of it makes us feel warm and fuzzy.

We wanted a modern theme and so our model wore a short Modern Trousseau dress, a French-inspired headpiece and black heels. The Strathmere Inn provided a perfect setting to this romantic pink, black, white and silver glitter photo shoot.  Snow started falling during the shoot which gave a beautiful and natural backdrop to this chocolate inspired romance.
